Things I’am excited for

Well I’ve been watching alot of Comicon coverage on shows like IFanboy and TRS and to a degree on Diggnation. I’am pretty excited to see Avatar when it comes out and I also heard from 2 different sources that there may be a new X-Wing game coming out. I have to say that one thing has me bouncing on my feet in anticipation. It is also counterbalanced by the fact that Lucas Arts is still on there proven path of smothering the creativity department. I can hope that it has a good story and emersive background like X-wing Alliance and that it genuinely tells a story that you are apart of. Not a bunch of missions that you can blow through with no hint of a story line just set piece matches. This may be to much to hope for but it’s a modest hope I think that they can make something engaging and enjoyable to play while still embracing the things that people want out of a star wars game.

I’am also really looking forward to the New Mass Effect game I just finished the DLC “Bring down the sky” and it has left me with looking froward to Mass Effect 2 even more. The fact that Shepard can die and yet you can continue the game and the fact that if Shepard dies he will not be on your Version of the 3 installation is epic. The Gameplay mechanic is supposed to be the same but the Mako and the inventory system is going to be fixed if the interviews I have read so far are accurate. The lead writer for the series is Drew Karpyshyn is a superb story teller and if you didn’t understand the depth of the game go to chapters and buy Mass Effect: Revelation. This is the book that gives you all the back story and the game makes a thousand times more sense. Play Mass Effect 1 then go to chapters again and get Mass Effect: Ascension. This is the book that is going to set up most of the background for Mass Effect 2 so you will know all about Cereberus and the Elusive Man. Yes its an odd thing when a Gamer and computer geek says read a book but its worth it.

Also I’ve added a link Page including some of my favorite pod casts and SGNonline. The forums that helped with the hangover article

Cheers
