Hobgoblin

Hobgoblin

Hobgoblin is a 5.2% Dark Ale that I picked on the premise that if the label was that funny that they must have made a good beer. The label has a hobgoblin with a broadsword and a quiver with arrows slung across his back. Brewed by the Wychwood Brewery. It is a very good dark ale that has kind of a toffee flavour to it. It went really well with the pepperoni pizza I was having at the time. I has a bit of a bitter aftertaste to it but I was kind of hoping for that in an English beer because they usually blend that in, in a way that no one ever can without it turning out poorly. This is a beer I will definitely look for again if not just to show someone the label.
